The story told in the Gospels about Jesus peacefully sleeping in a boat during a terrifying storm has always been an inspiration and goal for my life. I named our business Asleep In The Boat for that reason – a signpost, a banner, a statement of faith, a heart’s desire.
It’s always fun to take a walk. But it’s more fun to take a walk with a purpose. Or, should I say, we’re more likely to take a walk if there is a purpose to the walk…
Dog walking is something I take very seriously and something I do with great joy. Every dog is special. Each dog brings its own inner spirit and outward personality along on every walk and a wordless bond develops between us. Obviously, the more opportunities I have walking a particular dog, the stronger the bond becomes.
Easter is almost here and I anticipate it with a blend of excitement and relief. As the countdown
to Easter advances, I admit that my focus is probably more on the first sip of coffee and the
first sweet treat I’ll consume in 46 days than on the incredible gift of Christ’s death and
resurrection and what it means to me.
